Welcome to our dedicated Provincial Information Officers’ Website.

The role of a Provincial Information Officer is a crucial one as we continue to strive to dispel misconceptions and, without destroying the essential mystique, to clarify what Freemasonry actually is and does.

We are fortunate that the Grand Secretary, Nigel Brown, shares our vision of the importance of communication, both with our members and the outside world, and of public relations, particularly now that Freemasonry can be seen to assume even greater relevance in a world in which traditional values seem to be under threat.

Until now, it has never been possible, except in our regional meetings, to support each other and to share good practice.  In many Provinces, Information Officers have been doing excellent work and it is regrettable that others could not be made aware of their initiatives and achievements. This website will give us the opportunity to do this.  It is important too that you are informed of the work that Grand Lodge is doing.  It is my intention to post on the website any appropriate material submitted by you. 

Please feel free to send me by email any items and pictures which you think may be of interest to others.  I will also post any interesting articles which appear in the local and national press and which have been picked up by our press and media monitoring service.
